I think you will find a varied opinion among Christians. I am unfamiliar with the amplified bible, but I believe there are transcription and transliteration errors that have crept into the Bible, yet I still believe one can come to know God through it.

No, it does not include the amplified Bible.
The true bibles are the Original King James Version of 1611. If you really want to study about manuscripts, this is called the Majority Text.
The amplified Bible is not the true Bible. Nor, is the NIV Bible.
The NIV Bible, Amplified Bible, RSV Bible, catholic Bible and Jehovas Witness Bible and others all come from the Alexandrian Text, which most Theology schools use.
Who were the Alexandrians? They were a cult rom Egypt to changed the Majority Text (Real Bible) manuscripts to suit their own needs.
Only Bibles that come from the Majority Text Transcripts are really the word of God, the rest are not. They can not ALL be the word of God, use your logic here....

SOME Christians believe that the Bible is infallible. SOME do not. The translation isn't that important. I think everyone should have as many translations as possible for study.

1) No, because *all* of the bibles we have are the results of the efforts of (presumably) uninspired men. As mentioned in another answer, the autographs, or original manuscripts, are (or were, if they no longer exist) the true word of God. Copy errors and translation difficulties have resulted in a less-than-perfect text that is *still* the closest thing that we have to the true and perfect word of God.
2) It definitely does *not* include the Amplified Bible. Read my review here: http://www.jimpettis.com/bibles/amp.htm

I believe the ancient Church is infallible. The original scriptures were infallible, but translations are not.
Jesus left an authoritative teaching Church behind. Those who have broken away from it have fallen into heresy.
Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). This means that his Church will never be destroyed and will never fall away from him. His Church will survive until his return. Among the Christian churches, only the Catholic Church has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from unity with the pope in 1054. The Protestant churches were established during the Reformation, which began in 1517. (Most of today’s Protestant churches are actually offshoots of the original Protestant offshoots.) Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The line of popes can be traced back, in unbroken succession, to Peter himself. This is unequaled by any institution in history: Even the oldest government is new compared to the papacy. The Catholic Church has existed for nearly 2,000 years, despite constant opposition from the world. This is testimony to the Church’s divine origin: Any merely human organization would have collapsed long ago. The Catholic Church is today the most vigorous church in the world (and the largest, with a billion members: one sixth of the human race), and that is testimony not to the cleverness of the Church’s leaders, but to the protection of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus’ Church is called catholic ("universal" in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and make disciples of "all nations" (Matt. 28:19–20). For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28).

Let's face it, a lot of the stuff in the Bible is already on 11, even before it's amplified!

Jesus said
You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life." (John 5:39,40).
he Bible’s unity is due to the fact that, ultimately, it has one Author: God Himself. The Bible is “God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16). The human authors wrote exactly what God wanted them to write, and the result was the perfect and holy Word of God (Psalm 12:6; 2 Peter 1:21).

Your first question refers to a book.
Your second question refers to a translation.
All translations have their value.
However, there exists quality translations and poor translations.
Would you care to re=phrase?
