i know that being good doesnt protect you from bad things happening to you, but theres a difference between bad things happening to you and MANY MANY bad things happening to you.

curvy_chick000, I am sorry you have so many problems in your life now. Problems happen to everyone. It's how we deal with them that develops our character. It's never fun to go through so much pain at once. My very wise husband told me that I had to pick and chose my battles. The problems that did not need immediate attention can be placed on the "back burner" of our mind/attention until the time comes they should be attended to and NOT BEFORE THEN! You pay attention to only those that MUST be attended to AT THAT MOMENT. Push the others to the back of your mind and don't even consider them. Most problems work themselves out without our help or input.

Do you suppose that God is trying to get your attention so you will place your trust in HIM? Just pray hon for guidance.

being a good person is a great thing...it's one of the things that God WANTS us to do! He does not however "pick" on people...people make their own choices in life...it's the path you took not the path that was intended that is making you so miserable. God's help is everyday..he helps you breathe and walk and talk...if you can't see that as help then you need to go back to church and talk with your preacher! Laying your troubles on God's shoulders is the best you can do with your life at this point...just give it all over to him and you should feel some relief! Work on your problems one at a time...that is how they happened so that is how you rid yourself of them! Good luck!

God is not doing you any harm.
Have you read 1 John 5:19?
It says:
"the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
He is the one to blame.
He is a deceiver, a liar and takes delight in our adversity.
Regarding your problems, God has provided fine counsel in the Bible to avoid problems ....and if we fall into trouble, the same book has fine counsel on how to solve them.
You need an in-depth study of the Bible.
Anybody knock on your door offering just that?
That too, would be God doing good for you.

God is not doing anything to you except providing an arena for you to learn spiritual lessons. When you stop being a whiner and start taking ownership and responsibility for YOUR part in YOUR problems, you may see some relief from them. As long as you keep blaming God and everyone else, the problem will continue to show up for you.

You assume that life should be easy for "good" people. I think that's a false assumption. It seems human nature that we learn more in times of trial than we do in times of plenty. We're slow learners when the lesson seems abstract. I've never heard of a well-known Godly person who had an easy life (Jesus, Mother Theresa and King David all jump to mind). Despite all their trials, they gave their problems to God; they kept their eyes on God rather than what was troubling them at the moment.

Are you saved? Have you accepted Jesus into your heart? If so, trials happen. Just because your saved doesn't make you immune from the problems of this world. If you aren't saved, the bible says your good works are like filthy rags because its in vain.

By the way God doesn't pick on anyone, but he does allow thing to happen so we could learn and mature.

there is something that you need to learn that you are just not getting. maybe it has something to do with you being too much of a humanitarian. how often do you receive help instead of give it? that and you may live a positive life, but, it seems as though you aren't consistently thinking positive. "mind over matter" isn't just a one definition phrase.

hey,
i am not a christian or anything, but i will say god isn't picking on you. no one is picking on you. its just life. life can be good/bad sometimes. i'm sure everyones been so upset/emotional that they get sick to themselves, i know i have. stress is something that will sometimes occur more at different times in your life. you just have to hang in there and let life flow. do the best you can to get by day to day. soon enough life will get better, it won't be the same forever.

It sounds like your mother causes you problems. That is not God.
It's HER.
