Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a { little child shall lead them. }

The other day I was read my Bible.I had come across someting very interesting. It was one of those times where you have read this before, but it was as if you were reading it for the first time.Christians, I know you know what I am talking about.
Intent on trying to get all that I could out of it, I turned a deaf ear to the outside world and began to reread and study.Three of our grandchildren are here with us at present, Paula and I have 14 of them and love everyone of them. While reading I heard my name called time and again.Papa seemed to be all that I was hearing. And then once again I heard the word, Papa?Frustrated by now, I tried with all my might to say, What, as kindly as possible. And then my three year old granddaughter said, "Papa, I love you".Thank You Lord.

Don, I love your question as I will share my Dad's testimony with you!

My Dad, was a devout alcoholic...this was before I was born! I was told that he never drank anything but vodka and coffee! Certainly, was not the Dad I knew when I cam along!

My Mom had gone to a local church, who was having a revival. She took my brother with her and she accepted Christ as her Savior.

The sermon was about the rich man and his servant, to whom he cried out for just a drip of water...as the rich man was not in the presence of God but, the servant was! This stuck in my brothers head and obviously, it concerned this child of five!

My Dad, did not come home until very late that night and so, my brother was sleeping when he got home, drunk, as usual!
However, early, the next morning, my Dad said that he was out milking the cows when he felt a small hand upon his shoulder....it was my brother, in his pajamas. When Dad asked him why he was up so early, my brother grabbed onto his neck and cried, " Oh Daddy, I do not want to go to heaven, with Momma if it means I have to see you in "hell." WOW! That was a direct slam to his heart...said my Dad!

The next night, my Dad went with my Mom and brother to the revival! That night, Daddy gave His heart to God! You know what else? God delivered my Dad from alcoholism and two years later, he became a minister. This led to him pastoring a church until the day he died! I was 16!

Now, God took a child (my brother) to open the eyes of a drunkard and changed the setting for all our lives! He lived the WORD of God, prayed without ceasing and stayed in scriptures as much as he could! He NEVER took pay for pastoring or, preaching in a revival for another church! He said that God had called him to do a job and he was not going to charge for a calling God had called him too!

As a result of all this, I never knew the "drunkard"; however, I was reared by a totally surrendered heart for God! Thank You, Lord!

I am looking forward to being reunited with my family, when God calls me home!

Kids are awesome and I cannot tell you how many times I have felt conviction after hearing one of my children say something....so truthful, so simply put, and I need to hear it!
Yes kids are so honest. I love that my children all have a heart for the Lord. I too can get cranky when hearing "Mommy mommy mommy!" all day long--- but I need to remember also I won't be hearing that much longer! It should be a sweet sound to my ears! LOL
And as the Bible says, children are a gift of the Lord! And as Jesus says "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them" --Children have so much love in them- so much JOY! They have no worries, and every night they SLEEP so soundly.....I wonder what that is like. LOL (I Know if I would worry LESS I too may sleep like a "baby") : )

Christ said that we should have the faith of a child. You tell a child something like if you pray your prayers will be answered. They pray with expectancy like we all should. God has shown me through my daughter that he responds to that kind of faith. Show a child a dirty muddy 2007 Cadillac and at the same time a shiny clean 85 Ford Taurus. They will say that the Ford is the better car. Children don't care about status, race, etc.

14 grandkids? You don't look that old! Not by your avatar anyway.

I think you missed something in that passage, though. It isn't us that the child was leading. It was the wolf, lamb, leopard, kid, calf, lion and the fatling.

When he was just a young boy, in human years, our Lord Jesus Christ was found by His parents, teaching adults in the Synagogue.

Or if you want a non-biblical example, read "The Emperor's New Clothing". The adults all kept silent, but it was a child who daringly blurted out "the emperor has no clothes on"!

A child's spirit is what we lose : when we grow up!..And we all have them just like the children who have not grown up.The lord wants us to grow but not lose the good of our spirit.and that is our child spirit...Watch your "GRAND"Children..to re-capture it.Your child spirit...If that dose not do it go back and find yours...reminisce your child hood before you lost it..And regain it...It makes us all better people..And gives us back compassion,Joy, Happiness,Laughter, and no Fear...When we grow up we lose our Child spirit to worldly thing,s and turn our trust from Our Lord...leaving us wide open to Destruction: And no spirit..Live Laugh ...and stay Merry...And place all trust and Faith in Our Lord...God Bless you and All...

their innocence reminds us of what really is important.
while verses beckons us and we do need study time.
sharing with them the word and it's vital message is a call.
we are to encourage them in the word. showing them how
to read and to love the word as we do. this is our heritage
to them. both are very important to our wll being.
