I'm not religious, but have often wondered that this world is full of so much hatred, do you think this IS hell and we will go to better places when we die or is that something some of us hope will happen?

The world is what we make it, and what it has to be. It doesnot have to be hell.

and I do believe we go to a better place when we die.

Hell is that place created for the devil and the fallen Angels, because they had Angelic intelligence way above our own they knew the outcome of their actions clearly and by this they rejected God`s love and turned their back on the Kingdom of love(Heaven)
Hell therefore is the chosen place for them and it is a place where love is totally absent and only hatred, fear and anger exist, if we take the fact that if we in this world continue to grow in hatred for one another and love diminshes then we can say that the world resembles Hell to a degree, but even at this we still would not be in Hell on Earth because there will be many who still carry love in their hearts.

Flint Michigan seems like hell sometimes. It's a mid-sized economically depressed midwestern city.

Since you seem to be interested in the idea of "correctness," I hope you don't mind that I point out that "whose" is a possessive form, found in such sentences as "Whose dictionary is this?". I suspect that you were groping for the contraction of "who is," which is written "who's."

Glad to be of help.
