Boyfriend always says you're beautiful?

my boyfriend always tells me "you're beautiful/perfect/gorgeous" or that I always make him so happy. But when he says things like that I don't know what to say, because I don't take compliments well. And it makes me feel like he's just with me for looks, because I've had that type of relationshop before and it doesn't feel good :|
What's wrong with me?! Am I just afraid of another one of those relationships or am I just in a mood? lololoolll

You might just be in a "mood". Its normal to feel that guys just like you for your looks if you've been in a relationship like that before, like where a guy just wants to date you to have sex with you because your pretty. I totally understand where your coming from. It can be hard to think of any other guy as different, but you need to try in order to have a successful relationship. If a guy says your pretty, just say "Awe, thank you, baby!" or something like that. If you don't want to say anything, kiss him or hug him. If he's constantly complimenting you, you could always talk to him about it. If its just a few times a day, just go with it and say thank you. He probably is just happy because he has such a pretty girlfriend.

When your bf tells you these things, ask him what is it about you that makes you perfect to him. Or what type of beautiful does he mean? You can say "thank you" for the compliment. Nothing is wrong with you. You've been scorned in the past, so you're just a little apprehensive, that's all. Don't let the past ruin your future.

my boy friend say the same thing an we only been together 4 months .. i ask my self that question all the time ..i think it because they love us an don't want us to feel bad about ourselves..i find my self thinking that maybe he only thinks that way cause he loves me , that if he didn't love me ,that maybe he wouldn't think or say them things ..but that cause i do have low self esteem . all i can honey is that this man really loves u and want to insure u that he only wants to be with u so smile , laugh .. **** let that big ego of yours get full an ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF IT !!

It's understandable that you're worried about his motives, but they sound honorable to me. If he say's you're perfect and you make him happy, that means that he likes you for more than your looks. Try to appreciate his compliments more, even if they are a little too frequent for your taste. He's only trying to tell you how much he loves you.

i say things like that to every lady i date. to me every lady i date is special, and deserves to be recognized as such. unfortunately most women have a low opinion of their looks because they are bombarded with 18-25 year old models that are held up as the standard of beauty, and every woman tends to feel they dont measure up. there are some guys who will say these things and not mean them, and all too often women hear these things from nearly every guy they meet daily, and so it becomes routine, and thus it sounds somewhat disingenuous when you hear the words. at some point though you need to listen to the feelings behind the words.

some guys will tell you that you are the most beautiful woman they have ever seen, because they want to get in your pants.

some guys say these things because they think you need to hear it, whether they believe the words they speak or not.

Well, hopefully he compliments you on your brains/personalitly now and then too. It's not bad for a guy to remind you how beautiful you are though. If you can't think of a way to say thank you, you could just give him a kiss/hug/smile.

Just kind of giggle or something... give him the look that says that you enjoyed the compliment but don't say thanks... if anything, change the subject after he says it until you're comfortable with him complimenting you. Trust me, those compliments are much more sincere than "your hot, sexy, cute, etc." Sounds like he might not just be bullshitting you

Then ask him what exactly about you that makes you beautiful. pretty face, beautiful eyes, cute nose, luscious lips, soft, silky hair, pretty smile, healthy teeth, good, slim, athletic, healthy body, nice, warm personality, funny, you make him laugh, you're easy to talk to, you're sincere, silly, big heart, etc...all of these things are good, positive characteristics to have and if your guy can name these, then he really does love you and see the true you.
