If the accounts are derogatory they will continue to show for 7- years from the date of first delinquency, if they are good accounts they will continue to show for 10-years from the date of last activity.
You can not remove correct information.

The closed accounts stay on your credit report for 7 years after they are closed. You cannot request to remove them.

I would recommend keeping it on your credit report if you were on time with payments.
If you had lates on the account, you could dispute the information, and possibly have it removed from your credit file. Just because its derogatory doesn't mean it stays for 7 years.

You cannot have anything removed from your credit record unless it is not your account. Derogatory records go off after 7 years, and chapter 7's in 10.
