hi friends! i dont understand whats the prob'm with my hairs. i had lengthy thick hairs in my collage days. when i was doing final year, my hairs started falling and the thickness of my hairs also reduced. I thought impure water may causes it. so often I did shave my head also. temporarily it helped. :( i tried using many oils and dundruff shampoos. But no good result . Now im scared of trying any new products :( Problem is sometimes ,it's itching also if i rub my head there, hair comes with fingers itself. so Daily i wash my head to avoid this else it increases. It is almost 6 years over since it's started. I'm keeping short hairs to reduce it. But I dont know what should i do next to completly fix this problem :( I'm helpless. your suggestion or advice would be really appriated and helpful to me...

You can try a product from Pantene called 'Restoratives' anti-breakage formula. Keep in mind that it is quite normal to lose anywhere between 25 to 50 and hairs a day, sometimes more. The longer your hair, the more noticeable it will be. Most of the time, the hair you find in the bottom of the shower and in your hair brush is hair that has broken from the hair shaft and not from the hair follicle. many factors can make your hair weak and age is a big factor. hair is not as resilient as when you were younger and cant hold up as well to the everyday stresses we put it through. If after using this, you still think you are losing more than a usual amount of hair, see your hairdresser.

Actually, this can be a symtom of a medical issue. It is best that you see your doctor - he will probably take a sample of your DNA (hair) and tell you what if you have a medical condition - but until you can make an appointment, here are some tips to keep your hair in place until then.
**Eat a balanced diet. See "Sources" for a link to the food pyramid.
**When your hair is wet, it is at it's weakest stage. Do comb, style, or dry your hair while it is wet - that way it will dry without you losing a severe ammount of hair.
**Use a gentle shampoo.

About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out

I had long hair and when it bagan to seriously fall out, I shaved it all off and never looked back. Ponytale to egg-head overnight! The chicks dug it, so why wouldn't I?

Ask somebody like your hair dresser, mom, or doctor to help you with this.

Believe it or not its very common, and anybody will help you if you just ask (:

More Ideas, just ask.
