I need to find pictures for a collage of the shore/ocean "then and now. Are there any places where I can get pictures or sketches of the shore from about 100+ years ago?

You have gotten some good direction for your search.

Now I have a suggestion. Start your own collection of "then and now" by photographing your surroundings. It can be an on-going project and will show your descendants how your area changed.

Pretty cool thought back in the early 1900'2:

In the nineteenth century, concerns about decency and morality led to laws banning swimming in daylight hours.

Better for feeding the sharks at night anyway --lol! Must have seen the errors in such laws?!

There are actually a few biiks out called "Then and Now." It uses actual photos of places and there is an acrylic overlay that's painted to show what it looked like when it was built.

go to yahoo search and click on the "image" tab then type in a description of what your looking for

GO TO YAHOO MAIN PAGE...ABOVE THE SEARCH BOX CLICK ON THE IMAGE TAB....THEN IN THE SEARCH BOX TYPE IN "THEN AND NOW" ..SINCE YOU ARE IN THE IMAGE TAB IT WILL BRING UP LOTS OF THE TYPE OF IMAGES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR....GOOD LUCK
