Here is a site that shows you how to make a pinhole camera using an oatmeal box. It uses regular film so you will need someone to process it for you.

Most people don't realize that cameras were used hundreds of years ago well before the invention of film. Leonardo DaVinci and other artists used them. Take a look at this site:

We made a pinhole camera--- take a shoebox and do this in a dark room---(literally a dark room.. not a room with cracks on the bottom or a window at night... photosafe lights are the only ok ones).
-take a piece of photo paper (not the one from the computer) and put it in the boxand tape it to the back.
seal up the box COMPLETELY wtih black tape to make sure NO light gets in
-poke a hole perpindicular to the photo paper. put a flap of paper over the hole.
-go outside. set the box to face what you want to take a pic of... lift the flap and keep it open. not sure how long you have to research that.
-close the flap and then go into the dark room and develop the image in chemicals. its really cool

An easy to make camera is the "pinhole camera". You can find instructions at pinholeresource.com. The only drawback is you'll have to buy sheet film and have access to a darkroom to load and unload the camera and process the film.
