My husband and I are looking for somewhere to go for our one yr. anniversary. We live in Indiana. Where are some fun places to go for the weekend that arnt to far away? Thanks

Here's a link to the local free paper intakeweekly.com it has what is going on in the area. We go to the Sybaris sybaris.com Plus the State Parks are pretty this time of the year. My favorite is Clifty Falls. In second place is Turkey Run.

brown county state park is nice this time of year if you are looking for scenery. You could always dish out some bucks and buy Colts tickets. Walking/biking the Monon trail is nice too if you are into exercise. There's the zoo, which has a great dolphin exhibit. White River State Park holds concerts all the time on weekends. Chicago is pretty close and has quite a few things you can do as well

Chicago would be a great place to go. It's not terribly far and so much fun if you like the night life. Last time I went I was able to get a cheap 4 star hotel through Priceline.com. Happy Anniversary!!

West Baden & French Lick - completely renovated hotel/casinos in southern Indiana
Madison & Evansville - river boat casinos
Nashville, Brown County - artists, country feel, state park
Indianapolis - downtown shows, Circle Center mall, musuems, Colts, Pacers, college sports, bars, dance clubs, etc.

you should go to brown county this time of year to see the leaves change. i believe they also have bread and breakfasts and horseback rides. that would be very romantic.
