di u have to get all As to get a perfect 5.0 GPA? and atleast a B in honors classes. i have Bs in all my honors classes(which are on a 6.0 scale), so do i have a 5.0?
and what is required to get in state universitites(texas or any other state) and ivy league or duke and rice.

if u can get all A's that will be wonderful but u certaintly don't have to. u can get into colleges very easily if u r the top 5% or something closse to that. and taking SAT is also a good thing to get admission to colleges

I have never heard of a 5.0 gpa. I live in idaho. Maybe it is different where you are at, but here 4.0 is the best. To get that, you have to have all a's. Colleges don't only base off of grades, but if you have a gpa of 3.5 or higher you have a good chance of getting in to the college of your choice. Look on the website of the college you are thinking of and that should have some facts. Hope this helps.

there's such a thing as 5.0 and 6.0s? I didn't think that was possible. I thought it was 4.0 and if you have honors then you get an extra, but i don't think it's possible to have a 5.0 even with honors. =/

5.0? Where on Earth can you earn a 5.0? The perfect score is a 4.0.
