There are some excellent resume preparation and job search assistance companies. Many people have great skills for the jobs they are seeking, but do not have strong writing or word processing formatting skills. People who prepare resumes are a godsend to these job seekers. Others have interview anxiety or may have been in one position for many years, and so are weak in current interviewing techniques, and find job search assistance very helpful. Many of these services also offer networking meetings that are helpful in the "not what you know, but who you know" department. These services don't come free, but they can prove valuable if you need help in these areas.

I use this resume writing service in my area, this is the email address, (resume.help50@yahoo.com) you should try them, it only cost me $35.00 and I got a great job from this new resume, I never thought about the format that they use but the turn around time was less then 24 hrs. I would have to say it was the best service I have ever used and it was worth every dime. Also they let me pay through paypal.

I used a resume service and got nothing. Eventually I had to redo my entire resume on my own to get any jobs. The person knew NOTHING and I wasted $50.

Yes there are people out there like that. Some people don't really want to put the work in to make a good resume. One that will get them results. So they pay people or services to handle it. There are also people who coach you for job interviews, find opportunities for your qualifications, help you make a great first impressions and all that stuff. The good one's always last....
