Where are these bumps? All over his body?? Could be breaking out in hives. Are they on his face?? Could be canine acne.
Wouldn't hurt to get the skin looked at by your vet. It could be (and probably is) the food, but there are other factors that go into skin allergies/conditions. I would get a proper diagnosis and go from there.
In the meantime, get him off IAMS. IAMS is junk, full of fillers and garbage. Get him on a high quality food. You may notice his skin issues will disappear...

IAMS/Eukanuba and other store brand foods are not good for any dog, especially a Great Dane. They are so full of fillers and by products.
Go to a better quality food such as Canidae All Life Stages (I feed this ot all my Danes), Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's SOul, Wellness,Innova, Solid Gold just to name a few.
Also don't feed or water from plastic dishes..use steel, ceramic, glass.Make sure to keep dishes clean.

He is probably allergic to something in the food. To be honest Iams is not a good food to feed your dog. To find healthy foods check out this link. There is a wonderful dog food comparison tool that is awesome! It tells you what ingredients are in the food and what they actually are...which may surprise you! I personally prefer California Natural and Innova. Good luck!

Surprising, since IAMS test their food so heavily on dogs! IAMS is junk and I would never feed it to my dog.
Anyway, politics aside, if your dog is reacting try a different brand of food like James Wellbeloved, which is hypoallergenic.

I guess its a step up from the grocery brands but still not very good. If the store is an hour away why not just once every 6 months or so go for a road trip and buy a lot of food. Buy like 6 bags at once and open as you need them.

Switch to a better quality food. Iams is crap. I recommend a diet without wheat, cornmeal, and gluten. Go with something that has human grade meat and some veggies. Organic is preferred, a raw diet is even better.

IAMS (and Eukanuba, made by Iams) is tested on animals..I wouldn't feed it to my dog either. Change the food, you can find something better anyway.

Iams used to be a great brand but they downgraded it to sell to supermarkets.
Try National Brand or Canidae, available at some pet food stores.

Sounds like an allergic reaction to something, but I don't believe it's the dog food. Take the dog to a vet, and take a sample of the food with you.

My first question is are you SURE it's from the food? Try getting a small bag of a different kind and see if he still gets them. My pit breaks out with "pimples" but it's due to allergies.
