I know where the filter is. I can get the clips off, but I can't get the filter loose. If there is a special tool, where can I buy one?

If you have got the clips loose the and removed there is a bolt probably on the top side of the retainer holding the filter in loosen this and you should be able to slide the filter out to change

Some times. More than likekly your will have a white plastic clip at the end of each line. Simlpy take a flat blade screw driver and pry the clips off. do this on both sides of the filter. Warning take a large rag and place it over the filter end, while pulling on the line. Fuel pressure is high some times and could injure your eyes. So be Careful. To put it back in first alingn the New clips in the ends of the hose's so that they seat fully, the way they loked when they were originally mounted on the old filter. Now put the filter in it's seat and push the lines in untill you hear or feel a click. and you are done. Now put the key in the vehicle and cycle it several times without starting the vehicle. This will build fuel pressure and your vehicle will start right away. Else you just will crank the vehicle little longer than normal, for a few seconds. The one you will need a tool for is the ones that have a Metal braded line, with no white plastic clips. On these you will need a plastic insert, that you can purchase at your local auto Parts for a bout 5$. You will purchase a Kit that has 6 of theese, in in different colors. You will need to use one of the smallest one.. The gray or the or the light blue one. Depending on which or how wide your fuel line is. The trick to doing this line, is to insert the tool on the line, then sliding it hard in to the coupling. Once the tool is fully seated "Can't push in no more" then push the line in, towards the tool. once you push the line in then pull it back. it may take a few time to get it right, how ever don,t give up. Must time is due to the seals inside the line being alittle dry and they become a little difficult to separate. Well once you pull them off, put your new fillter in the cradle, Keep an Eye in the way it goes "filter orientation" and then push the lines in untill you hear a Click. Make sure they click in because if they dont, the fuel presure will push them apart and you will have a major gas leak ok. your done.. Hope this helps. Will.

MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SPECIAL TOOL TO REMOVE CLIPS BECAUSE IF YOU DAMAGE SOMETHING YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE FUEL LINE ASSEMBLY.
