Someone offered to do a "uniform pair portrait" for me. What is that?

The person is an art teacher and painter from China, so I'm not sure if there is a language barrier. Anyone know what a "uniform pair portrait" is? Thanks!

During the Renaissance people were portrayed as pair but on two panels. They clearly belonged together.

I think that is what he may mean.

a pair of matching/complementary portraits. Usually of husband and wife.
