i have recently married an egytian man and he will be applying for a marriage visa to join me in the uk. i would be grateful for any advice on the process

1/ send loads of pics with your application to prove that you have met.
2/ send letters of support from both families and freinds.
3/ It cost £500 to apply.
It is only very rarely that one is called for an interview, always tell exactly the truth1 If you are caught out on one lie it will be presumed that all you say has been a lie.

You have to satisfy the requirments under paragraph 281 of the Immigration Rules - you can gauge the kinds of questions from the rules.

They ask to see photos of marriage and marriage certificate, you need somewhere to live accomodation in uk give proof, wage slips and letter of employment, phone calls and emails to proove you keep in regular contact, if officer rejects your claim, you have 28 days to appeal to AIT you can get legal aid and help form your local MP. it is not " wanting to live in uk" as such- there will be question regaring genuinity of your relationship and evidence of your status in UK.
