That's wonderful that you care about these 4 stray cats, but down the line when your mom is back working, think about at least getting these cats spayed/neutered, shots / so you wont have to support any new members.
As far as coupons, try looking at the big pet food chains websites , www.purina.com / www.whiskas.com / www.meowmix.com etc. They sometimes have promotional coupons that can be printed. or look through the weekly flyers from your neighborhood grocery stores for weekly specials on cat foods .
Another option is to ask a friend or neighbor who has cats for a little help. Explain the situation and you will be surprised the generosity of other cat lovers out there. They probably will give some food during your mom's down time. Don't be afraid to ask and good luck

I go to Walmart and get the Meow Mix or 9-Lives 18 lb bag for under $9. That feeds all the strays here for a month and a half. Put out 3 cups of food in the morning, check to see if it's all eaten by 6pm, if it is, add another cup. If there are raccoons around, take up the food bowl (or empty it) at 7pm before they come out. The cats will learn the new food schedule pretty quick.
Make sure they have a water bowl too.

You can get a big bag of dry cat food and feed all 4 from there with water. If you need help call a shelter and explain the situation and maybe someone will take the cats for you or help with the feeding or offer some advice. Vets may also hlep you find a shelter or give you advice. If you don't want to keep them and can't afford them find a shelter that will take all 4 and find homes for them. If you go to petfinder.com it will have names of all the shelter that are selling cats in your area and then you can call them from that list. Also, see if people at school will help.

call a vet most have sample foods they might let you have.
Try a local dollar store .
ask a friend or neighbor to do some chores to get a little money to buy the food, take out garbage dishes ect.....
i have done this for several neighborhood kids around moms day birthdays ect.....
most stray are quite able to fend for themselves as long as they have access to the outside world.bugs, birds, mice rabbits, snakes ect are wonderful meals.
if all else fails maybe the pound is a non kill pound where the strays can be placed as pets.

If they are truely stray cats they do not belong to you so you should call animal control and have them picked up and taken to a shelter. They can give them the real care they need and find them proper homes where they won't be considered strays.

you can ask your supermarket mgr if they will sell you the ripped bags at a low price.you can also get coupons off line from any pet food company not free just 1.00 off or more if your close with your vet call him or her and tell them what happen and asked them if they can donate any till mom gets better or borrow some and pay them back at a later time most vets will help you if you just tell them what happen and that your saving them don't ever be ashamed to ask.if they are a true animal love they will help you

You should try a vets office. They're not allowed to sell their animal food after its expired even though its still good. They'd probably be willing to donate it to you.
