It is a method of using only 2 wattmeters to measure power in a 3-phase circuit. It is accurate under all conditions of load unbalance. The total power in the 3-phase circuit is the algebraic sum of both power meters.

The connection is thus:

Wattmeter 1: voltage sense across A and B, current sense throuh A.
Wattmeter 2: voltage sense across C and B, current sense through C.
