I don't see why you would either hide it or advertise it.
You don't see me advertising my nationality, do you?
It's not actually important.

If you or your fellow countrymen hide their nationality on Yahoo Answers, then they, and you, would be proving what my Czech friend said, "The Poles are more stupid than chicken!"
Well, I happen to know that the Poles are not stupid, they are extremely good workers, they are very polite, they make good friends, they have a brilliant sense of humour and know how to treat people.
The Poles in the UK have also made a big impact, and people who once resented them in the workplace now love them to bits!
I honestly think that the Poles are the best thing to happen to the UK in the past few years.
I intend to marry a Pole, but as they're a bit homphobic, it could be difficult tracking one down!
Anyway, the questioner and myself both like Formula One and admire Robert Kubica, and I bet he doesn't hide his identity!!!!!

There are good and bad in all Nations. You are who you are. No don't hide who you are. Be proud. Most people have no problem with you being Polish at least you and most of your country men and women are polite and work hard. People always pick on the bad things not the good.

Well you are not hiding your nationality any more are you, and why should you? What is wrong with being Polish and why should you think it is something to be ashamed of? Be proud of your origins. Your Polish countrymen were very brave fighters during WW2.

Not if you bring pierogi!
EDIT: 7:38 PM- Thanks kindly, but they won't do me much good in the UK. I got hooked on pierogi and kishka when I lived in Parma, Ohio, USA(America's Super Polish community). My folks even danced once on Cleveland's "Polka Varieties" TV show.

Have you never heard of Chicago, IL or Buffalo, NY or a dozen other cities in the Midwest and Mideast where a very significant portion of the population can trace their roots to Polska? Only Warsaw has a bigger population of people with polish blood. Welcome to Polonia!
