He's 10 weeks old, adorable, and very sweet for the most part but when he's playing, he bites...hard. We have tried EVERYTHING! I'm not sure he understands the difference between praising tone and scolding tone, because he seems to ignore it all together. We need help! We literally have done everything we could think of and followed all the Vets advice. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

When he bites, make a sharp short sound and ignore him for five minutes.
"OH. when I bite them, they make that sound, then they won't play with me. "

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aOpCS

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Puppies don't know how sharp their teeth are.

Here's a method I've used on countless puppies, and it ALWAYS works.

Pull one of their flews (lips) over one of their sharp, pointy teeth, and press down onto the tooth just hard enough to make them yelp. That will teach them that they do, in fact, have sharp, pointy teeth, and that biting hurts.

End of problem.

All puppies bite - it's how they explore their world and play. See link for help with puppy nipping. Stop it now or it will be more difficult and he will bite harder. Consistency is the key.

When he bites, say very loudly, "AH!" Sharp and loud, it will startle the puppy, and it should help. Don't be afraid to get loud, just DO NOT hit him. The best of luck to you and your pup!

Ask what Jesus would do...
..or better, the pups mom...
Perhaps a warning "growl" first?
Perhaps a "warning bite" on the neck?
Perhaps a "flip" on his back?
Anyway, this is a ten week old pup :) they "bite" :)
IMHO, the new age "ouch that hurts" method doesn't work well, as the pup gets even more excited.
But that's just my opinion.
