The Megan's Law website has them. You can also check the department of corrections site.

Familywatchdog.us is one it is run by the same guy who is on America's Most wanted. You can also check your states department of justice's website they will also have a list. Just google whatever state you live in and sex offender registry it should pop up quickly.

You will probably find at LEAST 200 of them living in your area. People dont believe that sex crimes are so prevalent, but it actually is - and you have to remember that they are people too, and need a place to live. No matter how much you may want to live in an area with ZERO people who have commited a sex crime, that may not be possible to do. Quite frankly, the very last thing most of them want to happen is to have the past dragged up again and to lose their new life.
If you want to ensure that nothing happens to your kids, then watch them 24/7 and always be there for them - that is the best thing you can do. Never let your guard down.

It depends where you live. I don't know if there is a national site that lists them all. There are way too many of them.
Call your local police/sheriff department and ask them if they have a Megan's Law CD rom. You will have to go to the station to see it, but it is updated every month and has EVERY sex offender on it in your area that includes the address, name, picture, and crime committed on it.

Go to your local Sheriff's department's website it will have a list of sexual predators and perverts usually by zip code. Actually, there are probably quite a few online right now, yahoo might be the place to look!!!!

Depends on what state you live in.
With out knowing, I would tell you to start with your state's Attorney Generals Office.
Also try your state's Department Of Corrections web site.

there are many, you shouldn't have a hard time googling for it.
but what is the purpose of knowing? does that information do you any good? being convicted as a sex offender can mean you're a pedophile, but many of them were only convicted of statutory rape. it's true. i don't think it should be a crime for a 17 year old to have consensual sex with a 16 year old, but it is. many of the people listed there aren't dangerous. our hysteria might actually be worse.

This is the national sex offender's database. I don't know how I feel about it, but every sex offender that is registered with the government is on here.:
