It's Thanksgiving and I just spent the weekend with my family, who I only see about once a month. I was so happy this weekend, and then today I had to go home. Usually leaving my family is hard because I feel sad, but this time it is worse, esp. around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I can't stop crying and feeling depressed, even though I have a lot to be thankful for.

Is it wrong to feel this way?

Btw I'm 21 married and on meds for panic disorder and depression.

more people feel depression during the holidays than at any other time of the year, so it's pretty normal. plus, you already are depressed so you feel it more than most. try getting some mild exercise, like go for a walk. it will help elevate your mood a bit.

I think it's normal to feel anxious and depressed around the holidays. You know your going to see people you like or dis-like... then have to leave at some point and go back to work or long trip back home. It can be a very stressful time of year. The feelings are normal but may be more severe in your case since you are on meds. PS - you must be in Canada, the US doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving until next month.
