For one week, a cruise can run anywhere from $600 to $7,000 per person. $600 is for an inside cabin during the off season and $7,000 is for the top of the line Royal Suite at prime time. The Presidential suite is bigger than the Royal Suite, but the Presidential Suite requires at lest eight people and thus costs less per person than for two in the Royal Suite. Also, the Presidential Suite only exists on the Freedom class of ships (Freedom, Liberty & Independence of the Seas - Independence of the Seas will start taking paying customers in the spring of 2008).

A typical balcony cabin will run $1000 to $2000 per person, depending on the time of year and how well the ship is selling. An ocean view cost more than an inside and less then a balcony while a suite cost more than a balcony, up to the cost of the Royal Suite.

I think cruises are fun. The advantage is you can visit three, four of five different places in one week, yet you are not stuck in a bus with nothing to do except sit, nor do you have to pack every evening and unpack every morning. Also, from the time the muster drill is over until the morning you have to disembark, you get to set the schedule, not someone else. You do what you want to do, you don't do what you don't want to do.

Days at sea are very relaxing. You can swim, gamble, participate in various sports, work on your tan, rock climb, drink, relax and read, meet with others and perhaps just talk, play cards, board games ...

On the Voyager class ship add ice skating and inline skating. On the Freedom class ships, instead of inline skating there is the Flowrider (surfing simulator).

Another advantage is each person in the group can do what they want, then meet up at dinner at the end the day and talk about what you did. For example, one person could go to the fitness center, another could go to the spa, and third could go shopping and the kids could go to the kids club. Then after lunch the whole family could swim and play miniature golf.

After dinner everyone could watch the evening's entertainment. After that the kids can enjoy a slumber party in the kids club while the teens dance at the teen disco and the parents do adult things.

For what you pay on a Royal Caribbean cruise, it's definitely worth it. Just do a side-by-side comparison of what you would spend on a non-cruise vacation for the same amount of days on: travel, food, entertainment and lodging. Plus you can expect great service on a RC cruise ship.

Cruises are the best vacations i have ever been on, and Royal Caribbean was the Best cruise liner I have been on. They are definently worth the money. The price depends on the amount of days you want to cruise (from 1day- 86days), eapest in Nov, Dec, Jan, and a couple other months.
Here is the RC website http://www.royalcaribbean.com/gohome.do you can look at prices on here.

On the cruise:
-food available 24 hours a day, like every kind of food you can think of.
-there is always something to do(i.e. shows, movies, swimming, rock climbing, ice skating, mini golf, go to the gym, go to a club, casino, shopping, and much more) THESE MAY VARY DEPENDING ON THE SHIP

Cruising is the best way to go on vacation. You get to see so many different places and never have to unpack once! Splurge and get a balcony room, you will truly enjoy it.
The food is wonderful, try new and different things - it's all included in the price. Entertainment, pools, casino, all floating on the ocean!!
Royal Caribbean is my favorite line - go and enjoy!

i"ve been on 20 cruises - so far. I hope I never have to stop.

I find it's impossible to select a "favorite" line or ship. They are all alike, and they are all different. Depends on the trip, the crew, your other passengers - lots of things.

I can say, however, that the WORST cruise I was even on was wonderful. They are all wonderful.

As far as money goes, I try to find a cruise that is about $100 per person per day, including airfare. Cruising is by far your best vacation value since almost everything is included except tours, shopping, and alcohol.

Go ahead, pamper yourself. You deserve it - and you won't regret it. Trust me.
