You do like to dream in your sad little world!
Comes from so much exposure to female wrestlers and poor Elvis impersonators.
You have been a failure all your life, I supose there is no hope for you now.

This question really has peoples blood pressure up today. How many Marines are in Dearborn Michigan? You seem to meet them all. Learning about another culture is great, but trying to convert someone isn't the best idea, especially when you are dealing with a US Marine.

I'm pretty sure it would be his decision if he wanted to become Muslim in the first place. And I agree, I do think this is a fake question just to get people heated because its just a stupid question to begin with, most people in the military don't just hate Muslims, yes there will be discriminators but that is the same with any culture or heritage.

I was in the Corps, and I don't remember them teaching me that Muslims were bad people. Your generalization of the people serving in the Corps is very ignorant. Maybe your Marine nephew can your attitude and prejudice against those honored to call themselves Marines.

Don't hope for conversion, as it's disrespectful to his own beliefs, but opening him up to new ideas and people is always a wonderful thing. Trying to convert him, will cause him to hate even more, as you only have that as the agenda-Not peace and tolerance. We can't have tolerance if we feel the otherside can only be understanding if they cross over to our side...It doesn't make sense. For tolerance and love to find a way, there needs to be another persons beliefs being respectful and understanding of another persons beliefs. It works both ways too.
I am a spiritualist, and I have taken part in many religious ceremonies that were not my own. They were fun,a nd the people are great!-It makes me have respect and love for all different beliefs. In no way would I want to join each one, just to have that respect. I have my own beliefs, and I don't need to believe in everything someone else does to have appreciation for it.
Your Nephew has his own life to live.
Remember, their religion, has nothing to do with politics and war-People may fight in the name of their religion-But they are distorting it and making it something else.
They can't go to war handing out flowers, they are not shooting someone based on their religion, and as much as I hate war, and disrespect wars-It's nothing to do with converting to their side vs his. It's about him making a choice of whether he wants to fight and kill in the name of---whatever..or go home and live his life...

Take him there. This war is not against Islam. It is just Islam is fighting US. The majority of Muslims killed in this world is done by fellow Muslims.

He's trained to fight not trained to hand out flowers. And yeah thats all nice and dandy but here's the question who's really shooting at who? Were not allowed to open fire unless fired upon since we have that whole rules of engagement BS.

hmmm, aren't you the one who used to complain that muslims were taking over Deerborn.
Come on Erudite, I've known and fought with you a long time. Do you really honestly believe that when our troops lay down their arms, peace will be at hand.
Is that what would have happened when you served.

This guy consistently posts such moronic things simply to get a rise out of others. It's really getting old.
Can't you find more productive things to do with your life?
Next troll.

If you are trying to convert him, then you are creating more hostility. You have to respect what he is in order to get respect.
Hand out flowers? Sure that would be nice, but it's not one-sided over there.
