Out of any other categories, R&S is getting to be more than expressing questions and answers on related subjects....are certain ppl attacking with use of reporting? Today especially I've seen a lot of troll-hating....what's going on folks?

Thanks, folks, I seriously had no idea what a "troll" was; for once, looks like this is the only subject on R&S that has brought us all on the same page! LOL! I appreciate all the feedback, live and learn everyday!

A troll is a person who asks questions just to provoke emotional reactions; they aren't really seeking an answer or an honest discussion of whatever topic they have introduced. Basically, they are amusing themselves at other people's expense and being dishonest.

A troll will frequently pretend to be some one he is not. Sometimes they will use multiple avatars to disguise themselves. ("Level ones" are often suspect in my book, for this reason.) They may pretend to be a different religion or background than they truly have, in order to misrepresent and defame that religion or background.

There are people on here that are just trying to irritate others and that's not loving. Me personally I have been attacked verbally so many times now that I have built up alot of endurance and it's doesn't upset me.
But I know it does affect others, and the ones that are doing this should show more respect for others feelings. Words can hurt.
We need to respect others beliefs and feelings on matters even if they do not agree with us.

We reason with a loving spirit. Love is kind.
Love does not look for it's own interest, does not brag, is not jealous.

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who intentionally posts controversial or contrary messages in an on-line community such as an on-line discussion forum with the intention of baiting users into an argumentative response.

The best way to find out is to read the community guidelines for YA. Too many people haven't, and they get upset for being banned. If they had read the guidelines they might not be in trouble.

Of course in R&S you have the special conditions of the Atheist spammers vs. the Jesus spammers

The atheist spammers post varieties of "All religion is dumb"

and Jesus spammers post varieties of "Jesus is the answer"

It's quite tiresome...

It takes a gross avatar or racial prejudice to get me to use the report button.

The question posted by beta fishy is not a troll question. He opposes such a question because to answer it requires independent thought.

Trolls generally pretend they are their opposite to cause trouble, or act in a way that does not further the dialog. That happens a lot here.
