Call animal control. They will help you out and either come and remove the pigeon or give you advice on how to get rid of it yourself. Piece of advice however...don't feed it, or it will never leave.

If this pigeon is bothering you, then put a plastic bag/trash bag on a couple of places on your roof. This will scare it. The bag is an unknown object. It will also blow in the wind, look like a huge animal trying to reach up and get it...I've always heard that the plastic owls really don't work, but who knows. DO NOT hurt this bird!

Obviously the bird has a nest up there. If you can get to the roof, put something shiny up there and the pigeon will go away. A piece of stainless steel or similar object. Even a mirror will work.

A large plastic owl scares pigeons away. My most recent apartment had an owl standing on the rail, and I asked why it was there and that was the reason: to scare annoying birds away. It works!

WHO CARES??? Do you spend a lot of time up on your roof? Pigeons aren't loud enough to hear if they're on the roof. They certainly aren't strong enough to damage your roof. He needs a home too, so just leave him alone.

You can tout ch the spot where the pigeon comes, birds do not tout ch things that humans do. Or you can paint where the pigeon comes, not to stick his feet there, to cover its spot. it might smell good to it, or just be lucky, no one knows!

You can get a fake owl to put on the roof, this sometimes works.
