Buddhist are just another form of superstition, supernatural nonsense. A true Atheist doesn't have anything to do with any supernatural fantasy. Buddha is just another God with supernatural powers like all the rest. Why dont you Buddhist go on back to your dragon fantasy, wrap yourself in your cocoon of ignorance and be happy.

I am a Buddhist because I follow the teachings of Buddha. I am an atheist because I do not believe in any god(s).
It's really not that hard to grasp, sweetie.

This just goes to show your ignorance. Technically, Buddhists ARE atheists, because true Buddhists do not consider Buddhas to be gods. Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, never advocated belief in gods. The only supernatural aspects of Buddhism are the beliefs in reincarnation and nirvana, and neither of these is anywhere near as absurd as theistic religious beliefs. Atheism simply means NO GODS, not disbelief in all forms of superstition or supernatural phenomenon.

Gee you are an unpleasant little troll, aren't you? Who urinated in your corn flakes?

Buddhism has nothing to do with the supernatural. Buddha was not a god, is not worshipped. He was simply a teacher.

Buddhism is a moral code which includes the pursuit of inner peace, non-attachment, non-judgement and non-suffering.

Maybe it's something you could use.

Atheism is the lack of belief in a deity, NOTHING more. Some Buddhists fit this definition. Buddha himself said he was just a man. Where's the problem here? If you don't know about a system of thought, ask, instead of making yourself look the ignorant one.

You don't know anything about Buddhism do you?

Just who have you been talking to?

Buddhism is not even a religion.

Buddha is no god. Buddhism has no intristic god( God is optional in Buddhism). Buddhist don't have to worship anyone. To be a Buddhist you don't have to believe in anything supernatural.

Buddhist don't have a strict set of rules like Christianity. We don't have to have children, or get married, if we don't want to. We don't have to teach our children to be Buddhist. We don't necessarily have to be married to have sex. We don't have to meet every Sunday, or pay the temple. We are free thinking people.

Buddhist are simple altruistic people. We are not of bunch of guilt-ridden introverts.

Buddha wasn't a god. He was an actual person, not based on a supernatural entity. Buddhists don't worship any gods.

Buddhists are atheist - they have no god. Some branches of the lesser wheel have taken local gods into it and do have superstitions as part of it but Zen and other greater wheel do not.

Know something about what you criticize.

Actually, there are many sects of Buddhism, and one of them is buddhism for atheists. Buddhism without all the dogma and belief stuff is not that bad, and it has really quite sensible guidelines for living and improving your life. The only "or else" in Buddhism is that if you don't follow the practice, your life will continue on as it is. No ignorant eternal damnation.

Why do some Atheists (you) claim to speak for ALL Atheists?

Atheism is a very general term for anyone who does not believe in a higher power.

Anti-religious is the more specific term often applied to someone who is believes in neither deities nor anything spiritual.
