I usually allow the student to switch the phone off but I wouldn't mess about letting you take the battery and sim out. If it is in your school rules that your parents signed up to that the school can confiscate your phone then the teacher can take the whole phone.

Just put it on silent and keep it out of the way, then your teacher will never know.

PS The rule is there to stop them getting stolen - its not some teacher power trip - honest...

It has happened to me and my friends so many times!we get ours back after a month and usually if you are lucky enough to have to walk to the principals office u can slip out the sim on the sly!The teachers dont allow you to though, I dont undertstand why since the phone is technically not in your hands anymore!I wrote all my numbers on a sheet of paper in my room , that could be a good idea so you have your database

I think you do, though it mite annoy the teacher who took it off you, i would try to take them out though, see if you can get away with it.

If it was your English teacher, I can understand why. He's trying to get you to learn the difference between your and you're.
