if people have already installed the old software. Can I install it on my computer.
I'm presently using OS 9.2 but need to finally upgrade to OS 10.X. I don't really want to upgrade to the newest version (5 year old computer), but figure that there's a lot of older OS CDs lying around as people upgrade. Where can I get these, and can I use them? Please don't tell me to get a new computer. That's not a possibility.

Try looking on ebay for os.x. discs. you should be able to upgrade to the newest version though. i know someone who has one of the old school colored imacs and upgraded to 10.4.10 with no problem.
