OK, you have no respect for my beliefs. Do you, not knowing me at all, really think I need a strait jacket.? Having never met me can you reduce all I hold dear to "imaginary". Do you know the secrets of the universe? Do you have all the answers? ... Am I to bow to your wishes and give up the very aspect of what I am? What is it that you hope to accomplish?
Does my happiness offend you so much?

Having an imaginary friend will not get you committed no matter what you call him. People may view as eccentric but not mentally ill - so please don't give yourself airs or trivialize the plight of the mentally ill.
There are lots of people named Jesus and Mary. Why not God? You wouldn't be the first. Grace Slick originally named her daughter God, though the daughter or Grace herself ended up changing the name to China (not Chynna, as in Chynna Phillips).

I agree, there seems to be a lot of war in the name of God. When it comes down to it, the wars are to see who has the better imaginary friend.

Sofa king you are a riot. How do you know that it isn't God only one way to tell, if he tells good stories, doesn't ask you to kill anyone, tells you to go kiss your mother for giving you life and so on you get it... we will know if your friend is who you say he is by your actions...Your fun

Sounds good - just dont tell the police something like "I was just talking to God and...." - they will throw you in the nut house in 2 seconds.

Hey talking to God is great. If you ask Him a question, don't forget to listen to what He has to say. Have fun.
