if the girl really likes you for YOU, and wants a loving relationship with you, then the money doesn't matter. $85,000 is alot of money in my state! but, in my opinion, if she only cares about how much money you're making, then she's not worth your time. Money is just paper. =) Good luck!!

I don't know what YOU'RE smoking, but for a single guy $85,000 is a boatload.
Maybe you should realize that money ISN'T everything. My boyfriend has signficantly less money than me, but it doesn't matter. You should just realize that if you like her, and she likes you, things will work out. So what if you can't take her to the nicest resturant (though I'm still confused as to why $85,000 isn't a lot.. Do you have an impossible mortgage or something?).. You guys can rent a movie from Blockbusters and cuddle!

In Indiana, $85,000 is alot of money for a person to make so don't sell yourself short! But, dating is not about the money. Ask her if she wants to stop at Starbucks after the gym for a cup of coffee. Then, if you feel good after testing the waters, you could ask her about dinner or a movie sometime.

money is the number 1 reported reason for divorce.
85k is a good salary depending on what state and city you live in, most people would be jealous of that especially on here. But i wouldnt wory about that not being enough, or being woried about gettign into a relationship based upon your income. When i met my fiance, i was unemployed And once we have kids, i will probably be a stay at home dad as we dont believe in day care....if its a good relationship, you should be able to work those things out.

I need a man that could support the two (or more if we have children) of us. I don't need nice clothes, jewelry, or shoes.
honesty though, i need a man that would love me unconditionally because that is the hardest thing you can find in this world. Money is just paper, love is more precious than diamonds. If he shows he cares for me and would love to drape me in diamonds but can't... I just appreciate the thought.
Reminds me of that song "the way i are" by timbaland.
"I ain’t got no money
I ain’t got no car to take you on a date
I can’t even buy you flowers
But together we be the perfect soulmates"
=)

If $85,000 is not enough money for this girl, then she ain't the one!
Find someone who can appreciate what you make and understand that money isn't everything.
Don't try to buy love. It'll never work out.

Money is important, only to an extent. It is important, but if it seems to come before the more important people or things in your life like God, your spouse, girlfriend, children, family, friends, or even yourself, that poses as a problem.
You should ask her out if you like her. Just give it a go... Just to ask, why would money be an issue?
If she really likes you, then money is somewhat obsolete.

My wife thought I had money when I first asked her out. I did not---she married me any way.
Find the right girl. Money makes life easier. But love and like come first.
Just $85,000.00?? What about the poor guy guy making $7.50 an hour.

What do you do that you're making $85K @ year? It should not matter how much you make, in fact it is better for her to presume that you do not make a lot of money, that way, you will know for sure if she is attracted to you or to your money. Money is not the root of all evil, but it's the love for money that is.
