There is no evidence of ANYTHING in the book being true. Nephi? The "dark-skin" people? Joseph Smith Jr. was no prophet.

"Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves."

There is much evidence for the Bible. Some Jewish scholars even say that Jesus exsisted as a person. The BoM is full of falsehoods. It says these people wrote in "reformed Egyptian". Ask any linguistist if there is such a language.

Experts will be quick to admit that they haven't deciphered many of the written languages found from ancient American times.....let alone all of the languages. You would actually have had a better point 150 years ago than you do today.

There are MANY things that are written in the Book of Mormon that went against contemporary knowledge of the Americas that was later found to be consistent with the Book of Mormon.

The purpose of the Book of Mormon is not to prove itself. Try using the Bible to "prove" that Christ walked on water or was raised from the dead.

We haven't even excavated the largest of the Central American ruins (El Mirador in the Peten Jungle, Northern Guatemala).

Nor is the Book of Mormon a history of the Americas (The Bible isn't a history of Europe, Africa, and Asia, now is it).

The more we find in Mexico and Central America, the better everything fits. We'll never find a "smoking gun" because then no faith would be required.

However, anyone who seeks the truth through God can and will find it. Do so humbly, sincerely, with pure intent, and with Faith, and God will reveal to you his truth.

You should also keep in mind that from the beginning of time, many of God's prophets have been called "false prophets" by others. Are you looking for true prophets?????

The BoM is a largely false document. No manuscripts can be found for it. It seems odd that God waited so long to give this "religion" back to the world. There is support for the Bible, Jesus did exist, Gods word is THE word. Joseph Smith Jr. is a false prophet.

The Book of Mormon is a big religious farce. It is a book writen by a man Joseph Smith Jr who was not a prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is a work of man not of God like the BIble.

Not to mention the fact that only Joseph Smith could interpret the angel Moroni's gold plated it was supposedly written on with special "seer stones", but come on! Kolob, spirit children, Skin color is black because God cursed them, Jesus as a sexual being, etc. all of this straight from the Book of Mormon so no chance at the excuse of "if you would only bother to read, ask a mormon, visit our church, etc."

Sorry for the poor buggers.

So you must be saying that if there were no "evidence" in support of the Bible, you would claim it a farce also?

I have evidence, plenty. My testimony. It is stronger than any "evidence" man can provide because MY evidence has come from the Lord through the Holy Ghost. That is all I need.
So you don't believe it, who cares? 13 Million members do so just leave us be.

It's impossible to pick just one.

- The complete old testament
- The holy trinity
- Any letter from Paul "the wannabe apostle"
- 72 virgins for martyrdom

But the religion that takes the incredibly stupid award for me is Scientology. It's a religion with aliens created by a SF author.

Read "Under The Banner of Heaven" if you haven't already...it's completely mind blowing. You'll learn how all their sacred places are fictional and how Joseph Smith deserted his followers when he was being chased by the law.

The Book of Mormon has large passages that are very similar to the Bible, especially the parts where Christ comes and preaches His gospel. And THIS, you say, is a FARCE?

Is there any evidence of the bible?

Actually there is evidence of the BOM - those who are against it though choose not to see it. They are finding places in South America that match BOM descriptions. Plus many of the people in South America talk about things from the Book of Mormon, these people have never even heard of the BOM before.

You can quote the bible, but yet you mock the beliefs of others. It appears that you may have missed some of the important messages from Christ's teachings.

I invite you to sincerely read the Book of Mormon along with the bible, pray about them, and try to live by their teachings. Let's see what happens.
