Its a DVD and you must have a combo drive, correct? Call apple and for 10 bucks they will exchange your DVD for the CD's to install Tiger. All it takes is a phone call to resolve your problem. Good Luck!

Insert the disk, turn on the power, hold down the mouse button and follow the prompts.

Did you read the documentation that came with the disk???

If so, and still stuck, call Apple tech support.

Can you play DVD movies on your computer? 10.4/"Tiger" comes on DVD and won't work in a CD-only drive. A multi-CD version exists but it may be hard to find.
