You know how you can pass on genital warts even if there are no visible warts? Well, I was wondering, if someone didn't know they had it in their mouth because they couldn't see any then can you still pass it to someone from kissing?

I suppose so, I think you can. It IS extremely rare. And the likelihood of contracting it isn't very high But here are a couple of websites to help you out.

Good Luck, and always be safe!!!

Herpe Virus if in the mouth (ulcers) can spread to the genital area if oral sex is performed, therefore it may create genital herpes as well. I read up on that stuff because I was concerned too.Best way to find out what kind it is, take a blood test and it will tell you what type it is. There are 2 kinds of Herpes. I don't know about the wart thing. Being clean has NOTHING to do with getting a tranmitted disease so those who made that comment be VERY CAREFUL. . .

When people have sores in their mouth, they would know it is about to erupt and become contagious. When it is close, people usually get a tingling sensation, so they wouldn't be completely oblivious. Hopefully, someone would have the decency to tell you they feel something coming when you lean in for a kiss. You need to have an active sore to transmit a cold sore or "mouth herpes," but it could be active and not big enough to see yet.

Why is everyone focusing on genital warts? I thought you just brought that up in your question for comparison.

Yes. Genital warts is a virus which lives in the blood stream and in bodily fluids, including saliva. You can contract them from kissing someone who has the virus, even without any outbreak of the warts, themselves.

Thats Herpes. I've not heard of genital warts passing by kissing. You need to be having sex to get the warts.

Go to the herpes websites. MPWH or H-Date or one of the others. They have all the information there! I actually have read about that. And it is very unlikely to be passed from genitals to mouth.

Just asking a question like this is going to make it tough for you to get a date. The answer is yes. You can pass them on from kissing. What we don't know can hurt us.

Genital warts aren't in your mouth - they are in your genitals.
