My phone was suspended and I never actually paid the fee or asked for my contract to be cancelled. I haven't used my phone since February of this year and got sent to collections. Am I going to have to have to pay for every month (which is about $70 - for 2 years) that I Had left in the contract?!?

Thats what you signed for.

Thats why its better to buy your phone unlocked, and then buy a SIM card and never get a contract.

Possibly. It all depends on what the contract you signed says. When you stopped using your phone, you did not cancel your contract. That was a legally binding agreement that said that you would pay them for 2 years. Within the contact there will be a clause regarding early termination and a clause for delinquency. Read those sections to determine how much you will probably be responsible for.

If your phone was suspended and your account sent to collections, they closed your account and charged you the early term fee. So you won't have to pay the monthly fee for the balance of the contract.
