Chastity is a dirty joke that should have died along with its parent, primogeniture. Religious ignorance and discrimination against the teaching of safe sex is a real sin against humankind.
For those that hate polysyllable words and dictionaries; Primogeniture is defined under ancient law as the right of the eldest child, especially the eldest son, to inherit the entire estate of one or both parents.

A vow is a promis. Take all vows very seriously and think about exactly what you will vow, how long will it last, etc. There should be a witness if not two and it is good to have a ring or something to bring it to mind when tempted. If you become a religeous, there will be a specific rite for that vow. For now a solemn promis in front of witnesses, even if it's your best friend,is good.

You need to get a chastity belt first of all.
You can get them used at Deseret Industries.
But make sure to launder it before using it.
Also, make sure you have a lot of clothes with it in the dryer so it doesn't clank around during the drying cycle and ruin the dryer.
We had a neighbor who learned this the hard way.

no one pressured me into my choice. wait...i take that back. all the kids in my high school were having sex and a lot of the girls ended up pregnant. that's how i came up with my promise. I've promised God and myself that i will wait till marriage.
most importantly it was a spiritual/personal choice I've made for myself.

If you're part of a religious group....monks, priests, nuns....you do it in your heart and then in a religious ceremony.
If you're doing it for yourself personally....it's between you....and you.
