Get copies of your credit reports (AnnualCreditReport.com). Dispute any errors with the credit bureau.

Pay off credit card balances. Get all your balances below 30% of your limit. Paying in full would be even better.

If you have negatives on your credit report, work on settling them. Start with the newest on and work back to the oldest. You might be able to settle older stuff for 50%. Be sure to get any settlement agreement in writing and don't give them access to your bank account. Lump sum payments get the best deals. Payment plans have to be over short periods.

the minimum credit score i believe is 350 and dectn is 550 and excellent is 650+. the only way i know to improve your credit rating over the next few months is to pay off any existing debt you both have now and insure it has been reported to the credit bureau at once.

Don't buy a mobile home, it's like living in your car.

Buy a real house, with 20% down and a fixed-rate 15 year mortgage.
