During the Great Tribulation there will be many who will fall away from the faith and be misled by false prophets (Matt. 24:10-11; cf. 2 Thess. 2:1-4) and therefore, for the sake of the believers, the Great Tribulation will not extend to the end of the week (Matt. 24:22). But immediately after that period there will be a cosmic disturbance, signifying that the sixth seal has been opened (Matt. 24:29 / Rev. 6:12-14). The sun and moon are darkened and the stars fall from the sky, a great earthquake shakes the earth to its core and the sky is split apart like a scroll (Isa. 13:9-10; Ezek. 32:7-8; Joel 2:30-31 & Luke 21:25-26). This cosmic upheaval also signals the arrival of the Day of the Lord, however, before God pours out His wrath on the ungodly two events must happen. The sealing of God's bond-servants to preserve them from His wrath (Rev.7:3; cf. Rev.9:4) who will total 144 000 in number (Rev. 7:4-8) and the rapture of the church.. The Christians are gone!

why should it makes sense? Nothing you have said here leads me to accept any of this. The bible is a collection of stories, some inspiring, some downright bloodthirsty and horrible, and it was written by men. If I write a book claiming to be god's child, will people believe it in 2000 years? I don't think so somehow, and I don't believe in your book, and yes, I've read it many times!

Why "should it make sense to us" ??? There is nothing sensible about the Christians end of times theory. I think it's just an excuse to not accomplish anything worthwhile ( except for trying to convert as many people as possible to your religion for your own benefit) because the "end is coming"

Actually, Appostle John was reffering to his present day. Emporer Nero, a fierce anti-christian, who tortured and killed Christians, was the Anti-Christ. His named added up to 666 in Greek. It is my opinion that revelation is nothing more than an encripted warning to other Christians about Emporer Nero.

It doesn't make any sense. It's ridiculously convoluted and entirely illogiocal. It's not going to happen.

If every Christian on earth suddenly vanishes without a trace, I'll believe. Until then, no chance, and a load of verses from your ancient book won't convince me otherwise.

It makes no sense to me. But then it makes no sense to me why millions of people eat at Mc Donalds.

Edit:
BTW, there are way more than 144,000 people who claim to be Christian, so if Revelations is right then most of the Christians will be left here.

Sooo... all the fundamentalists get to go to heaven, and all the rest of us get to stay here with no fundies.

Sounds like a win-win situation. It's a deal!

The Christians will be taken immediately before the tribulation. the following 7 years will be terible for anyone left on earth as only a few will survive. They didn't believe noah in his day and they all died. They won't believe us today and they will die also. Man always knows better than God and man always comes undone because of unbelief. Blessings

It doesn't make sense to me...then again, I believe in reincarnation. Every day is judgement day.
