I just want to say that I think you are a terrible person with no real empathy or conscience. My Dad's best friend was killed in Tower #2 that day and his wife, children and grandchildren were devastated! How can you be so cavalier about all those horrible deaths? Even for you, this is just too much!

I'm not qualified to argue every convolution in your premise. But the simultaneous impact of the Rapture and an asteroid are not true. The first four seals kill 1/3 of the earth. The Rapture, in the sense that we believe we'll be caught up in the clouds, must leave enough people to fulfill prophecy. Thus, wiping out those people leaves prophecy unfulfilled, unless you mean a rock just large enough to kill but not exterminate. Either way, people must be around for the 'Vials' and 'Trumpets' to be handed out. An event like 9/11 would be like an asteroid hitting a metropolitan area. But in no way is it like fulfilling Biblical prophecy. Before the last seal is opened, martyrs must be beheaded and a massive earthquake shake the holy land.

I believe that this verse means that the rapture will happen. Then the man of lawlessness will have the go ahead to reign for a season. And then also, few will turn to Christ after the rapture. And many will fall away & the will believe the lie of the antichrist. God will turn them over to a deceiving spirit because they refused the love of the truth. I believe this is when the great apostasy comes. And the people are those who take the mark of the beast (666). The ones who don't bow to the beast or take the mark will be beheaded & will be part of the 1st resurrection also.
All people who are ready with oil full in their lamps will be ready for Jesus at the time of the rapture. The end will not happen until the Gospel of Christ is preached & published in all nations. Then, also, I believe many in Israel will come to faith in Christ. Because they will proclaim 'Yeshua' in Jerusalem. Then Jesus takes us out of here in the rapture & we have the 'Marriage Supper of the Lamb'. But the left behind believers weren't yet saved (not yet received atonement for their sins) or they were low on oil & weren't ready. Similar to how the Church wasn't ready for 9/11.

Interesting thought, but consider two people just laying in a bed. After the rapture one could remain, while the other is gone. That could not be explained by an asteroid strike. In general people occupying the same location or space, would not all undergo the same outcome. Only in places it seems that all perished could you possibly say that some were raptured.

"Tribulation" has been due to start for, oh... 1700 years now. Someone opverslept, I guess. ;)
Back in the 70s, all the top televangelists put together the definite timeline of the End Times... the "tribulation" era was "definitely" going to start by the late 80s.
Didn't happen then, either.
There are always "signs." The Black Plague was a definite "sign" - one of hundreds (maybe thousands).
All wrong.
same old, same old.

You refer to "the asteroid hit" as if it's something that someone has predicted, or that is expected. There is no such prediction or prophecy.
Also, the Rapture is a 125 year old concept. It's not real. Darby made it up by combining some obscure passages in the Bible and taking them very non-literally.

2 almost totally loaded jet planes have been hijacked by means of terrorists and flown into the twin Towers. The ensuing harm and fireplace led to them to interrupt down. yet another jet airplane grew to become into hijacked and flown into the Pentagon. a third hijacked airliner went down whilst passengers fought lower back (it rather is what info exhibits, having no longer been on board, we can not be attentive to for specific) in a field in Shanksville, PA. I stay basically 20 miles from Shanksville and pass to the positioning in many circumstances to pay tribute to the lives lost there, so please do no longer dishonor them and something who lost their lives that day with ludicrious, unfounded conspiracy theories.

As someone who worked closely with Lisa Beamer (Todd Beamer's widow) and Lyz Glick (Jeremy Glick's widow) in starting foundations after their husbands will killed on flight 93, I find this question highly offensive and ignorant to the extreme. The victims' bodies were basically cremated in the ensuing fire after the crash.
I only hope survivors of the victims of September 11 do not see this question. Please think before you post such rubbish again.

Some say the end is near. Some say we'll see Armageddon soon. I certainly hope we will. I sure could use a vacation from this.

Hi, Crimso;
The end will come in the Battle of Armageddon, and that is not caused by a literal meteor, but by Islam, that came on the scene like a shooting star. It is described in Revelation and other parts of the Bible.
See: "The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy" at www.revelado.org/islam.htm
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua
