This morning, and two days ago, I gave two best answers to people whose accounts were suspended, so they can't even see them. This same thing happened a few times before, and it makes me really sad!!

How do you feel about all this?

Thank you for your answers! :)

Have a wonderful week! :)

Dave - This happened to me, I got three best answers, just after my old account was suspended.

I knew most of them were suspended, when I closed the questions, but their answers were the best, in my opinion, so I wanted to give them the BAs, anyway.

It's not your fault Moon...why feel sad? Everybody has moved on, so no use dwelling on it. They've probably already started a new account or already had an alternate. I don't think it's sad..I think it's a shame that good people have their accounts deleted. You know the deal probably better than anybody else on here. But within the context of the way y/a is set up it's going to happen..that's why I say "do what you do and make the best of it while you can for it's apt to end at any moment". But don't feel sad you didn't do anything...just keep on doing what you do! Being sweet! :-)

It's just a sad situation, some wonderful people get suspended
and most of them stubbornly bounce back cause they put a lot
of time and effort into their network.
Not to mention real care, consideration and friendship happily given( and received )
Unfortunately some just give up and disappear for ever.
But more often than not they fall victim to people who seem to have no constructive interest in the community whatsoever.
People reporting for the 'fun' and the 'thrill' of it.
Delighting in their 'achievements' of yet getting another person
suspended, and being helped by the views of the Yahoo
Gods who seem to have the attitude that when reported
" you're guilty until proven innocent " and conveniently forgetting that there seems to be less than a snowballs' chance in YAH*LL of ever getting a hearing to prove
you are indeed innocent.

Have a wonderful week yourself !!

I hate this happening. I have not been deleted yet, but I recently got a BA & someone actually posted 4 or 5 of the most angry comments I think I have seen, then stated they checked out my profile. I blocked them, but feel like I am sort of looking over my shoulder, so to speak, when I answer a question. I don't have a lot of faith in Yahoo being fair if they reported me for some stupid reason. They were really bordering on just harrasment, yet I will not report them, I will just try to ignore this. It really shocked me, that someone could actually have such a response. Can't we all just play nice & sometimes agree to disagree? Thanks Moon, (((HUGG)))
EDIT:
The TOS state that salkers will have accounts terminated, yet I never see this happening even when you happen to know who the stalker might be, it is always the one who is being stalked that is terminated! Surely Yahoo can see who the stalkers are, especially with the new "moderation in reporting" ! Just a thought.

I have given best answer to suspended accounts, but most times I just forgot or didn't know. I don't know how each one feels seeing those come in, but it would upset me and make me want to fight to get my account back. You know Moon, Billy Boy actually had his given back once. It was right before I picked best answer and his had been the best answer. While I was looking at answers left to my question, Billy's avatar showed up right where it belonged and his answer too. Billy got the BA that he deserved, and his account. Something to think about.

I gave Jach 2 BA's the day he was suspended. It's really frustrating for all of us. It's not the points that are so important. It's that the community is being ripped apart for no good reason. You just feel violated.

Hope your week is really great too.

I'd sure like to understand the logic involved...wasn't the new reporting system supposed to eliminate some of this?

It's like the logic behind the Top Contributor badge. Get this, I have barely been in here during the past month (probably spent 2 hours TOPS in the past month here), still retain my TC badge, but a contact of mine has more points and spends more time in here and doesn't get the TC badge.

When you figure out the logic behind the TC badge distribution, then you probably can figure out the logic behind how they suspend accounts.

The only thing that is worse is actually getting your account suspended but still getting "best answer" notification emails to let you know that your answers were chosen as best. LOL

I know some suspended account wasn't suspended fairly because sometimes I get violation for not good enough reason.

If the account was suspended in error, they need to follow the procedure to be reinstated. That's what I did, and here I am.

If it was suspended for not following the community guidelines or violating the Yahoo Terms of Service, then that is sad. When will people ever learn to follow the rules?
