They'd probably tell God to stop being such a liberal.

I'd feel like I need either more or less drugs, because what I'm on is making me see things. Seriously, the first thought when receiving a "visitation" should always be "Is this for real?"
If I was somehow sure it was, I would find the most dangerous, yet humanitarian, mission I could. I don't know, ministering to ebola victims in Africa or something. That way I would be building up my brownie points, and accelerating my ticket to heavan at the same time.
Suicide, in all the religions I know of, is an automatic "do not pass go".

god would not have made a calculation error of this nature when determining the number of souls to allocate to this world. his word states that "all who believe in me shall have everlasting life" (life in heaven) thus god would not make a statement as you propose due to the contradictory nature of the two staements

The Cosmos is huge my friend...and to think Heaven (the Summerlands) has only a set capacity is quite idiotic.

I'd tell him to create an alternate heaven for the rest of the good people, and make sure Satan isn't in my chair when I get there.

Maurice, that would never happen because Heaven is God's virtual place, where time and space as we understand them has no sway.
I hope this helps you out.

Distraught! I had hoped to be rid of all the sanctimonious religious believers, to make my eternity outside bearable at least.

If one reads, only 144,000 actually make it to "heaven" anyways. The rest of us are in the "pasture".
