Pride, love, ignorance, intellegence, you'd have to know her personally enough to understand that. Its not going to be a simple matter. It could be that she has to much pride to ask him for anything, she feels she is to blame for the situation. Could be that she loves him and doesn't want to do anything to him, just for that sake. Could be she is ignorant to the fact that she COULD do it, or SHOULD, or even WOULD. Could be she is being intellegent in an effort to keep him as far away from her and her kiddos life as possible....
