They dont come here to help our country,
Do you think that a community will become stronger by creating difference between people?
They dont leave their religions and beliefs behind they bring them with them which mixes with our own to create a people with a confused idenity.

I really dont understand how anybody can think immigration is a good thing, everyone has a right to life, just not here.

Legal immigration is a good thing, when those who migrate here are going to assimilate and speak fluent English.

Legal immigration can be bad - when those who come here fail to assimilate.. Sometimes it can be just as bad as illegal immigration.

LEGAL immigration is a wonderful thing. These people have passed the tests, paid their dues, and really, really do want to stay here and be productive.

ILLEGAL criminal aliens on the other hand, are a deficit to this country and just want to get the benefits while they are sending their illegally earned income home. They have no intention of staying here, they are only using us.

Round them up and deport them all.

It's ok to bring their religions and remember their cultures. But it is also important to assimilate. That's the part they're messing up. If they would simply assimilate, like all other immigrants do, we wouldn't have such an issue.

Why are people so ignorant concerning immigrants. They don't come here to hurt our country. Do you really think that a community will become stronger by creating conflict between people? Do you honestly think that American communities share all the same religions and beliefs WITHOUT immigrants? Do you really think there is a homogenous American identity right now? The fact that people disagree on this issue, non-immigrants mind you, PROVES that your theory is wrong. We are already a diverse people with diverse beliefs and points of view. Based on your last statement, NONE of us belongs here. This land was owned by the Native Americans long before your IMMIGRANT ancestors came here. This is hypocrisy.

Because part of our population is very vocal about wanting this country destroyed. They trot out the same propaganda and call people names if they disagree. I can't believe you haven't been called the 'r' word for this question. But I see the ever-faithful 'we are all immigrants' nonsense.

I hope you are not talking about real immigrants (the legal type).

If you are talking about illegal aliens, I agree with you.

Legal - good
Illegal - bad

And there must be reasonable limits on the gumballs.

First look at the question you're asking, "Why are people so naive concerning immigrants?" If you haven't realized the U.S. needs immigrants, legal or illegal? For example, Bush tried to set up a guest worker program in the U.S. when there was 6 already in place. It was a law secretly diguised as an Amnesty. He wants illegal immigrants to be legalized because they are beneficial to our country, why do you think they are giving illegal immigrants so many rights? They provide money and cheap labor. Whether you're against or pro illegal immigration, you can bet that the U.S. is not going to do anything against it. It's people like you and your ignorance that keeps the U.S. in turmoil. It's your ignorance that keeps other nations hating us. Before you post up a stupid question like yours, make sure its relevant to what you're talking about.

I will put this as simply as I can

Legal immigration = good
illegal immigration = bad

*Edit - I see someone gave me a thumbs down, it must be someone 'for illegal immigration'.

People can argue about immigration but it's fairly ridiculous to think they make no contribution. Here's a lesson plan regarding the subject:
