I just recieved my allergy bloodwork test results back. I'm allergic to House dust, dust mites, cats/dogs, ragweed, elm tree, birch tree, maple tree, oak tree, bahia grass, bermuda grass, timothy grass. The only 2 things I'm not allergic to are molds & cockroaches?!! Did anyone else get this many positive results when they were allergy tested?

Alot of people will react to all of these things because of sensitivities not actual allergies. I would not recommend the allergy shots unless these allergies are really affecting your life. Most grass and pollen reactions only occur in spring and fall, so why get allergy shots all winter, just prepare for these seasonal allergies. House dust and dust mites are every where. Wash your bed linens weekly and wash your pillows at least once a month. Dust your house regularly and if you can eliminate carpeting and replace with flooring. If you are allergic to cats and dogs, don't get one. Carry Benedryl with you to control reactions. But again, unless these allergies are seriously affecting your day to day life, avoid the shots.

If you can have them, then they would help but not eliminate. Your reaction around some cats would be worse than others. The thing is that if your cat allergies are bad enough, the shots can't be given to you because of the reaction you would have.

Yes, I had more than that. I also was allergic to the molds and nearly all types of pollen. I was on a nine year series of desensitation shots. They helped me a lot. I had three shots once per week for five years.

Yes...dust, pollen, molds, euchalyptus, perfumes, cleaners, eggs (many shots have an egg base), gluten, rice & soy. Check out chemical sensitivity in a search engine as well.
