Some dogs will be erect when excited (like when getting petted after a few hours alone for example), but generally it should stay out of the way.

sometimes when a dog sits in a certain position it will make the penis push out. it has nothing to do with arousal. it is normal.

do not panic,,its normal..the male organ of a dog is the same as a human male...the male at times is circumsized and it no longer will be able to leave what is known as the foreskin...the dog when young has the sexual urge and it is his erection that you see...
