I don't really care who has the best voice control. I don't look to the discipline of a voice,but to how the song is being put over,his/her voice. Perfect voice control does not a perfect singer make.Th ere are things entailed, a lot of things. When an audience is watching a singer on stage they do not just look for who have the most control voice.
They look for can they hear the words, did they pick the right song, are they perfectly pitched, are they are in the right range and are they happy and comfortable in front of people. Also, are they putting thetype of emotion into a song that the song called for. Do they use the mike properly, etc. etc.

It depends on the type of music.
Operatic singers have the most voice control of anyone, so I'd pick Renee Fleming.
For Pop music, I'd pick Celine Dion (even over Mariah Carey - just look at the Diva's concert. Mariah lost her voice and Celine kept going.)
For Rock, I'd pick Amy Lee of Evanescence.
For R&B & Hip Hop...there are so many...that's tough.

Freddy Mercury probably does considering he was an Opera singer and learned to control breathes.
P.S. Rappers can't be accounted for people who think so, because they don't sing well, they actually are very bad at singing I bet. They know how to rhyme but that's probably about it.

Chris Brown??? huh, ok. He sounds like a little boy when he sings..... anyway, Christina Aguliera has great voice control, she just needs have a little bit more control when it comes to over exaggerating the notes... kind of gets on my nerves.... a sentence in a christmas song from her is like the last 3 minutes of a football game!
