A can or bottle of club soda or sparkling water can be a great alternative to the sugar, caffeine, and other undesirable componants of colas and other soft drinks. Check the lable on yours to be sure about the ingredients. For instance, is your Sparkler full of sweeteners or artificial flavors?
Some purists will tell that there is NO substitute for pure water -- and if you put a drop of lemon in it, then it's not water anymore, it's lemonade. Most people will take a middle ground and tell you not to eliminate plain water entirely, but having a Sparkler instead of a Coke is the next best thing to plain water.
A friend of mine acheived his weight loss goal AND lowered his blood pressure simply by drinking club soda, unsweetened herbal tea, or water instead of Mountain Dew.

Nothing is as good as water (well, maybe green tea) but YES. Sparkling Water is MUCH better for you, assuming you mean the kind like St. Croix or Perrier that has no sugar or artificial sweetner. Soda is full of high fructose corn syrup which makes you store fat even faster than good ol'fashioned sugar.
Also, even if you're drinking diet soda, honestly, the jury is truly still out on whether that aspartame/splenda/etc sh*t is harmless.
Sparkling water is a great alternative if you like to spice up your beverage consumption. :)

I would go with sparkling. I have never had soda water but I think sparkling is healthier. If you don't like sparkling you could go back to using soda

No soda (diet) is flavoring, aspartame and carbonated water. So is flavored sparking water. Plain sparkling water doesn't have any aerptain and is good with some lemon or orange in it. Plain old water is by far the best for you. Carbonation isn't even good for your esponages or your stomache. Hope that helped!

Definatley! Less additives, colourings and sugar. The best ones (which you could make yourself) are ones with added natural fruit juice in. Low in calories with vitamins!!!! But the best would be sparkling water on its own. It is an okay replacement for water but to be honest, nothing is better than natural fresh cold water!!!

They are a good replacement for soda. I wouldn't go so far as to say that they are better than regular water, but I really don't see any harm in them either.
Enjoy!

Nothing can replace water, ur body needs it.

Most of the flavoured waters I've seen have just as much sugar and calories as the regular soft drinks.
Check the label on your chosen brand...

There is nothing, out there that replaces water. Most of so-called favored water, has some sugar added to it.
