Is there really a creator of some sort? Let's ponder this for a moment.
First, supposedly there is no creator. You can then do whatever you want without fearing some sort of divine consequence, just Earthly consequences should you get caught. Since your life is a limited span only, then you should get all that you can get to make living the most comfortable there is possible. If you have to cheat, rob, etc. to do this then so be it. Stepping on anyone that gets in your way would'nt matter for you.
Also, since many people live in poverty and misery, then why should we let them live? What's the point of mercy and morals when they're just using up precious resources? Why not just put them out of their miseries? Same goes with those disabled....why not just take them out too?
What then is the purpose of life if we're born, live for a few years, die, and become non-existent forever? We just continue to perpetuate the species for more misery. Would the universe miss us if the world comes to an end?
Seems to me that there is something more to it than just living and dying. I choose to believe that there is something more than just an Earthly existence only. Those that think otherwise are just arrogant fools that are not thinking of the bigger picture. I really pity there small minded ways.

How Real Is God to You?

WHEN an American rabbi once asked Einstein, “Do you believe in God?” he replied: “I believe in Spinoza’s God, who reveals Himself in the orderly harmony of what exists.”

But what kind of concept of God did that 17th-century Jewish-Dutch philosopher have? In brief, it was that “everything that exists is a part of God and that God is in everything that exists.” Spinoza felt that “in God quite literally we live and move and have our being.” But how real was such a God to Spinoza and Einstein?

At best, to Spinoza and Einstein He was but a pantheistic god. A pantheistic god? Yes, for the term “pantheism” comes from two roots meaning “all” and “god,” and so is defined as “a doctrine that equates God with the forces and laws of the universe.”

There can be no question about it: The universe, the “book of nature,” does reveal much about God. But for God to be truly real to us we need far more knowledge of him than just what can be seen in the universe. We really need his divine revelation. As we read, ‘How can one put faith in God without first having heard of him?’ (Rom. 10:14) Lovingly, wisely and justly, God has given us such a revelation, his Word, the Holy Bible. Therein not only do we learn that he is the great First Cause but we also learn of his qualities: that he is infinite in power and wisdom, wholly righteous and just, and that he is the personification of love. Moreover, in his Word we also learn of his purposes. —Gen. 18:14; Deut. 32:4; Isa. 45:23, 24; Rom. 11:33-35; 1 John 4:8.

Hinduism can give some mystical answers

Who is God? Where is God? How can I come to know God?"

God has no names, but all names are the names of God. Whether you call Him this or that, He remains Who He is. But in our tradition we call God by the loving name Siva, which is only one of His 1,008 traditional names. Supreme God Siva is both within us and outside of us. Even desire, the fulfillment of desire, the joy, the pain, the sorrow, birth and death -- this is all Siva, nothing but Siva. This is hard to believe for the unenlightened individual who cannot see how a good, kind and loving God could create pain and sorrow. Actually, we find that Siva did not -- not in the sense that is commonly thought. God gave the law of karma, decreeing that each energy sent into motion returns with equal force.

In looking closely at this natural law, we can see that we create our own joy, our own pain, our own sorrow and our own release from sorrow. Yet we could not even do this except for the power and existence of our loving Lord. It takes much meditation to find God Siva in all things, through all things. In this striving -- as in perfecting any art or science -- regular daily disciplines must be faithfully adhered to.

Siva is the immanent personal Lord, and He is transcendent Reality. Siva is a God of love, boundless love. He loves each and every one. Each soul is created by Him and guided by Him through life. God Siva is everywhere. There is no place where Siva is not. He is in you. He is in this temple. He is in the trees. He is in the sky, in the clouds, in the planets. He is the galaxies swirling in space and the space between galaxies, too. He is the universe. His cosmic dance of creation, preservation and dissolution is happening this very moment in every atom of the universe. God Siva is, and is in all things. He permeates all things. He is immanent, with a beautiful form, a human-like form which can actually be seen and has been seen by many people in visions. He is also transcendent, beyond time, cause and space.

That is almost too much for the mind to comprehend, isn't it? Therefore, we have to meditate on these things. God Siva is so close to us. Where does He live? In the Third World. And in this form He can talk and think and love and receive our prayers and guide our karma. He commands vast numbers of devas who go forth to do His will all over the world, all over the galaxy, throughout the universe. These are matters told to us by the rishis; and we have discovered them in our own meditations. So always worship this great God. Never fear Him. He is the Self of your self. He is closer than your own breath. His nature is love, and if you worship Him with devotion you will know love and be loving toward others. Devotees of God Siva love everyone.

This is how God Siva can be seen everywhere and in everyone. He is there as the Soul of each soul. You can open your inner eye and see Him in others, see Him in the world as the world. Little by little, discipline yourself to meditate at the same time each day. Meditate, discover the silent center of yourself, then go deep within, to the core of your real Being. Slowly the purity comes. Slowly the awakening comes.

GOD is more real than any of his creation.in fact his reality cannot be contained within his creation for he is the creator of his creation.but there are innumerable signs right from the human body to the farthest star, only we need to have the heart of faith to recognise his splendour and greatness to recognise his beautiful and majestic signs in the cosmos and then we realise that everthing belongs TO THE ONE TRUE GOD AND that we exist because OF OUR ONLY ONE GREAT GOOD GOD.

Of course Joe C, God is the ultimate reality and He is infinite without boundaries and restrictions, we on the other hand being finite experience boundaries and restrictions in our life experience, one of the lesser thougt restrictions is that as God is totally self aware we are aware only in, and because, of God.

If you know he is then why are you asking others approval? God is very real just like the fools who don't believe it unless they see it.

How about these questions: What has god done for you? Has he done anything? Has he answered you when you called or had questions? Has he shown you guidance? To me, the answer is no. God is as real as you make him to be.

Assuming you are referring to the Christian god, most definitely not. Same goes for any other god, for that matter. You may "know" he is, but you have no evidence or proof and you are wrong.

No, God is imaginary. And the prevalence of theism is a testament to human mind's capacity for self-delusion. You assume God is real, you don't know.
