I once won £150 and my dad once won almost £3,000 - but i would have thought that I should have come across someone by now who had won a lot more - anyone?

Nah, I've not won more than a tenner.

Lottery winners are still few and far between.

Assuming it's been won once every week and it's been going for 15 years (that's a guess) there will only be 780 jackpot winners out of 60 million people in the UK.

Never won the UK Lottery. But I did win the Lamprayville Lottery. I will soon be getting $40.0000. They said it will be deposited in my bank account. I only had to send them $10.000 to pay for a winners tax. I'm so excited I could break dance.

OMG!! The lottery gets me so mad!

When I was little I found a ticket that you mark the numbers on and I went round the house asking people to pick some numbers. I then gave the ticket to my dad, who's a bus driver and told him to put it on and gave him a few coppers thinking it was enough (I was about 6 or 7 or something).

Then later that day while he was at work it was POURING it down with rain. He was in the bus waiting for a while because he was early and so he went in his pocket to get his cigarettes out and he pulled out my lottery ticket thing. He said to himself, I'll put it on on my way home from work.

So he finishes work, but theres a car parked in the space he was gonna park in so be decides to not bother putting it on.

Later that night EVERY SINGLE NUMBER COMES OUT!!!!!!! BUT HE DIDNT PUT THE TICKET ON!!!

Your chances to win are 1 out of 14 million+...
60M uk people, 45% capable of playing.
Your chances of meeting a jackpot winner is, say 1/50M * 14M?
That's 1 in 1,400,000,000,000,000...
Your chances of finding someone who has forgotten to put their ticket in and their number came up is, what, 1 in 2?
Your chances to win "enough to retire and live comfi" is about 1 in 3,500,000 (that is, if you are not too greedy!)
