I guess you're right. If there ever really were christs and anti-christs, only believers could be fooled. Atheists would just cry BS to any anti-christs.

From a spiritual standpoint, the atheists will go along simply because they don't believe! The Mark of the Beast which will be used for socio-economic control of the world's economy AND RELIGION will be accepted by the atheists in the name of "convenience". Since they don't believe anyway, once they're absorbed by the Antichrist's world system, they're as doomed as those who are deceived by him (Antichrist).

There will be no confusion. Everyone will know who, and what the Anti - Christ is. They will follow him because it will be easier. The world will be in such a state, men will turn to anyone who promises them peace, and security. Christians will be gone, there will be no "true believers" to be fooled. There is no second chance to be Saved, the only people who will be getting Saved will be Jews. Gentiles left behind, weather religious, or atheist will be forever lost, and without hope.

Atheists are far from a homogeneous group. You cannot make to many generalities about them.
If a popular enough religion came along there is a good chance that many people would join it out of peer pressure alone.

if there is or ever will be such a thing as an anti-Christ, he will come as a prophet and miracle worker and the fundies will embrace them as one of their own.
the more reasonable people will question the reality of such "miracles" and atheists would likely not believe even if they saw one. so yes, "non-believers" will be, and are, much more easily fooled, because they are so much more willing to believe.

The book of Revelation does say that God would rather that you were hot or cold. It is those who are luke warm that He is going to spit out.

Naturally, atheists don't believe in any Anti-Christ, either.

LOL.
Funny point.
Though we have nothing to worry about. The antichrist is as real as god or any other magical fairy or leprechaun.
